John T. Ward serves as legal counsel to various electric transmission ultilities and distribution cooperatives throughout the country. He serves as the lead attorney for negotiation of power supply agreements between investor owned utilities, municipal utilities and G&T cooperatives providing for sharing of generation facilities, transmission facilities and operation of same.
Michael P. Joynt has over 35 years experience in public utility law and serves as the principal attorney for various electric and telecommunications utilities. His services include the preparation, review, and negotiation of ownership, participation, acquisition and financing agreements.
Louis R. Hockenberg is a member of the Polk County, Iowa State (Committee of Probate, Property and Trust Law) and American Bar Associations. He serves as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of the Professional Corporation.
Richard R. Chabot is a member of the Polk County, Iowa State and American Bar Associations. Mr. Chabot is also a member of the Minnesota State Bar; He serves as Vice President of the Professional Corporation.
Robert M. Holliday is a member of the Polk County, Iowa State and American Bar Associations. He is a member of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers and C. Edwin Moore Inns of Court. He serves as a Director of the Professional Corporation.
Mark Landa practices primarily in the areas of environmental and worker safety law. He directs the activities of the Iowa Environmental Group which was established by a consortium of Iowa's rural electric generation and transmission and distribution cooperatives to meet their collective environmental, safety, transportation, and emergency response regulatory needs.
John V. Donnelly was born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1940 and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1964. Mr. Donnelly joined this firm in 1994. He is active in various community activities and is a member of the Polk County, Iowa State and American Bar Associations. He serves as a Director of the Professional Corporation.
Dennis L. Puckett practices in the areas of electric and telecommunication utility law, real estate law, and corporate law. He has counseled and assisted his clients in successfully completing many complex business transactions, acquisitions, sales and reorganizations. He also has assisted many clients through the entity selection and incorporation process.
Lawrence P. McLellan is a member of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers and has been a mediator or arbitrator over the past 10 years in matters involving the following areas: Attorney/Client Fee Disputes, Business and Commercial Law, Construction Law, Employment Law, Environmental Law, Family Law, Toxic Torts and Personal Injury.
Matthew D. Gardner practices of area include trusts and estates law, business planning, and real estate. Mr. Gardner advises and brings solutions to individuals and families regarding estate tax planning, wealth preservation and business succession planning. His pro bono work includes preparing will and powers of attorney for the Iowa Volunteers Laws Project Program.
Kyle Kruidenier primarily focuses on real estate, landlord/tenant, environmental, business, non-profit, employment, collection and public utility law. He assists businesses with the recovery of unpaid accounts; facilitates residential or commercial real estate transactions; gives legal advice to small businesses; provides estate planning services to clients; and helps landlords with tenant issues.
Elizabeth Overton graduated from Drake University Law School with high honors in 2007. In 2003 she graduated cum laude from Simpson College with a B.A. in Economics and Business Management. She is a member of the Polk County, Polk County Women, Iowa State and American Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Blackstone Inn of Courts.
Samantha Kain graduated from Drake University Law School in 2003. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in 2000. She assists clients in the area of family law, criminal defense, real estate transactions and trusts and estates. She is a member of the Polk County, Iowa State and American Bar Associations.
Benjamin Clark graduated from Drake University Law School in 2008, where he served on the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law. Ben graduated from the Henry B. Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Ben has a general civil practice, including but not limited to environmental, agricultural, litigation, real estate, corporate, and public utility law.
